A Button-up shirt with an ATTACHED shoulder bag by ffixxed. There is something very uncomfortable about this shirt that makes me feel like i have a 10 pound weight on my right shoulder. What would Michael Kors say!? “IT LOOKS LIKE YOU PULLED A PARACHUTE OUT THE BUTT OF A CAMEL AND THREW IT OVER THE SHOULDERS!”…then Nina Garcia would jump in saying, “i am very disappointed, what were you thinking.”  (For all those Project Runway viewers).  Is this really functional? You better hope so because this button-up is $145!  To be completely honest, i don’t find it necessary to have this in your wardrobe AT ALL.

These shorts are magic. In regards to the previous post centered around Ali Stephens lace dresses, its safe to say every girl needs a piece of lace in their closet. Vinnie Ferra’s – Man Vs. Machine

Wonderfully produced, Vinnie Ferra’s “Man vs. Machine” proves an impressive debut album full of lush sound, sweeping orchestral arrangements, and beautiful harmonies. Short and sweet, the record makes full use of intricate guitar parts paired with broad strings – which paired with female harmonies, are reminiscent of Damien Rice and Lisa Hannigan. Songs like “Bad For Business”, “It Hurt To Be Hard”, “Who Do You Love” and “Candle Light” trend in the direction of dark brooding melancholy while “Even When I’m With You” serves as a lovely and light toe-tapper.

It is clear that Ferra’s pop sensibilities are in full force with this album, as each song is engaging while being frighteningly catchy. And with a voice as beautiful and smooth as his, my only complaint would be that the album could have showcased more of his singular voice – less doubling, less harmonies, less technology. Although all instrumentation was executed wonderfully, I can only hope that Ferra explores other musical avenues, and branches out to include a full band with prominent bass and drums – his voice in front of an alt-rock band is where I think he’ll really find his bread and butter. Beautifully crafted, “Man Vs. Machine” is a wonderful musical contribution, and I can’t wait to see what Ferra endeavors in next.
