Beloved British designer Alexander McQueen was reportedly found dead in central London on Thursday.  Unconfirmed media reports state that his death was due to suicide.   A police spokesman has confirmed that death is not being treated as suspicious.  McQueen was to present a new collection March 9th this year.  He will truly be be missed.

Alexander McQueen and Louis Vuitton have started a trend with the release of virtual fashion shows. In case you didn’t hear about it, McQueen decided to broadcast his show on the internet a few months ago, in order to reach a larger demographic and allow more people to watch it. Now with the recession, many other designers like Ralph Lauren have decided to do the same. Usually fashion shows cost over $1 million as opposed to an internet broadcast show which costs just under $50 000. So basically less money …

I’ve never understood the taboo associated with a little ink. Maybe McQueen doesn’t either. Great ad, in my opinion.
